# Getting Started

Learn how to connect your wallet and mint NFT

To join CoinCollect, all you need to do is Connect via your wallet

**To connect your web3 wallet to CoinCollect, follow these steps:**

1. Install a web3 wallet like MetaMask or Trust Wallet on your device.
2. Make sure your wallet is connected to the correct network for the feature you’re using (for example, Polygon for many CoinCollect NFT/pool actions, and BNB Chain for swap/liquidity-style features in the app).
3. Visit the CoinCollect website and click on the "Connect Wallet" button.
4. Choose the web3 wallet option and select the wallet you just installed.
5. Follow the prompts to connect your wallet to CoinCollect.
6. Once your wallet is connected, you can use it to interact with CoinCollect, such as staking, providing liquidity, or buying and selling $COLLECT tokens and NFTs.

# Create a Wallet

ERC-20 supported wallet is needed (ex: Metamask, Trust Wallet)

To get started on CoinCollect, the first thing you'll need is to set up a wallet that supports Polygon Network (EVM based - ERC-20 ). Wallets are available both on desktop and mobiles. You'll need to choose the wallet that fits your needs best.&#x20;

# Get ERC-20 Token

The native tokens of Polygon Network is $MATIC Token. To do most things on Polygon. you will need to pay gas fee, which comes in the form of MATIC. Polygon is an EVM based layer2 blockchain Network.

Here's a general guide on how to buy Matic (Polygon) tokens from an exchange and send them to your Web3 wallet:

1. First, you will need to create an account on a cryptocurrency exchange that supports Matic trading. Some popular exchanges that support Matic trading include Binance, Coinbase, and Kraken.
2. Once you have created your exchange account, you will need to deposit some funds into it. This can typically be done by linking your bank account or credit card to the exchange and transferring funds in a fiat currency such as USD, EUR, or GBP.
3. With funds in your exchange account, you can now buy Matic tokens. Locate the Matic trading pair on the exchange and place a buy order at the current market price or at your desired limit price.
4. After your Matic purchase is complete, you will need to withdraw your Matic tokens to your Web3 wallet. To do this, go to the "Withdraw" or "Send" page on the exchange, select Matic as the token you want to withdraw, and enter the public address of your Web3 wallet, choose network of the dapp you are going to use. (Polygon for CoinCollect)
5. Double-check that you have entered the correct address, as sending tokens to the wrong address can result in permanent loss of funds. After confirming the withdrawal, your Matic tokens should appear in your Web3 wallet within a few minutes, depending on the speed of the blockchain network.
6. Once your Matic tokens are in your Web3 wallet, you can use them for a variety of purposes such as staking, providing liquidity on decentralized exchanges, or participating in NFT marketplaces. Be sure to secure your Web3 wallet with a strong password and backup phrase, and never share your private keys with anyone.

## How NFT powers work?

NFTs have two attributes that help determine their power: Power and Level (Star). Power is represented by a number that is multiplied by a factor of 1x to 9x, which is displayed in the upper left corner of the NFT. The Level or Star rating of the NFT is indicated by a star rating of 1 to 5 stars, which is displayed at the bottom of the NFT. In addition, each NFT is classified as either a Starter (x), Bronze (5x), Silver (15x), or Gold (45x), which determines its base power multiplier. By multiplying the Power and Level attributes with the base multiplier of the NFT class, the total power of the NFT can be calculated.

Token emissions will last for approximately 60 months, with halvenings occurring every six months. A halvening means the budget for maximum tokens used for emissions during a 6-month period will halve relative to the previous period. The full amount of the budget will not necessarily be emitted during that period.

Additionally, 0.03% of trading fees on the CoinCollect platform will be used to buy back COLLECT tokens, which will be permanently burnt. This helps to reduce the overall supply of COLLECT tokens and stabilize the token price.

The team, advisors, seed funding, foundation, and treasury tokens (24% of total) will be fully locked for the first 12 months and will unlock linearly each day over months 13-60. This provides a fair distribution of tokens and helps to prevent large holders from dominating the market.

The foundation and treasury allocations (8% of total) will be used to fund the development and growth of the CoinCollect ecosystem, including initiatives such as research and development, marketing, and community building.
